Cream City Restoration
201 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI 53202
Jason and Kelsey are the dynamic duo behind Cream City Restoration. Whether it’s designer, vintage, mid-century, or local furniture, their passion for furniture burns. Kelsey spent time as a kid going on trips to look for antiques while Jason always loved interior design. Following their marriage in 2011, Jason started to develop the love of the chase of vintage furniture. Jason and Kelsey figured out how to combine their love for antique adventures, interior design, and restoration into one package with Cream City Restoration. As opposed to constantly trying to fill the void in their spaces, they are able to enjoy simply existing in their homes and live better lives because of it.
Design Within Reach
167 N Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202
Design Within Reach is between Chicago Street and Menomonee Street on Broadway. At Design Within Reach, they believe that furniture isn’t supposed to be bought and sold regularly but treasured, moved, and eventually passed along to the next generation. Design Within Reach wants to create immaculate pieces that can endure a lifetime. Not only should the layout and design of your furniture inspire you, but it should also solve problems, whether that be your space limitations or doing their best to reduce the amount of furniture and home décor that ends up sitting in landfills.
1741 W St Paul Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53233
Bachman Furniture wants to see their customers’ eyes light up when they find the piece in their inventory. Anyone can find temporary furnishings, but it is very difficult to find the one that you see in your mind. Bachman employees know what questions to ask so they can present you all the right options, some you may never have thought of. For almost one hundred years, the Bachman’s have been in the furniture industry for three generations now, now being led by Joe Bachman. While not everyone that works at Bachman Furniture has Bachman blood, over half the sales staff and designers employed have been working with the family for more than thirty years. Bachman Furniture has won the A-List Award for Best Furniture Store in Southeastern Wisconsin 2007 through 2010.

Milwaukee Mattress & Furniture, Inc.
423 N 3rd St #3001, Milwaukee, WI 53203
Following World War II, Kenneth W. Dethloff worked at Sealy, where he learned the ins and outs of the mattress industry. Ken and his wife, Margaret, bought land a barn in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and got to work. Purchasing mattress machinery for Sealy, the couple started Pewaukee Mattress. What started out small ended up needing a factory and storefront in Pewaukee along with three storefronts in Milwaukee. Ken and Margaret went on to have four children before selling the business to two of Margaret’s brothers in 1959. Ken got used to working for himself and only spent a year being an employee before going back into debt, buying an old Milwaukee factory, and founding Milwaukee Mattress & Furniture, Incorporation. The children grew and assisted their parents in the factory before driving the delivery trucks, working the showrooms, and once they earned their keep, running the business.
